  • Title: Intra-operative evaluation of a novel fluorescent c-Met tracer in penile and tongue cancer
  • Objective: Evaluation of the feasibility of intraoperative visualization of penile and tongue tumours using the fluorescent tracer EMI-137.
  • Status: Study Completed
  • Results: See pubished material here and here

MOLECULAR FLUORESCENCE ENDOSCOPY OF (PRE)MALIGNANT ESOPHAGEAL LESIONS (NL)

  • Title: A randomised pilot intervention study for the esophageal lesion detection using c-Met targeted fluorsecence endoscopy.
  • Objective: The primary objective of this randomized pilot intervention study is to determine the sensitivity of the fluorescent tracer EMI-137 in identifying (pre)malignant esophageal lesions during surveillance endoscopy.
  • Status: Study completed
  • Results: See published material

EMI-137: INTRAOPERATIVE IMAGING OF THYROID CANCER (NL)

  • Title: Detection of Thyroid Cancer and Central Lymph Node Metastases using c-Met Enhanced Optical Imaging
  • Objective: The main objective of this phase I pilot study is to assess the feasibility of EMI-137 for the intraoperative detection of thyroid cancer and central lymph node metastases in PTC using optical fluorescent imaging
  • Status: Study Completed
  • Results: manuscript submitted for publication

PROSTATE MOLECULAR TARGETING TO ENHANCE SURGERY USING EMI-137 (UK)

  • Title: Investigation of novel molecular imaging techniques for precision surgery and genomic characterisation of high-risk prostate cancer using EMI-137
  • Objective: Evaluation study of molecular imaging techniques in high-risk prostate cancer (PC) patients using deep red/near-infrared (NIR) fluorescence imaging with a fluorescent imaging molecule during robot-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy (RARP) to define extra-capsular and nodal involvement and optimise the extent of surgical resection
  • Status: Enrolment closed

EMI-137: VISUALISING C-MET AND ACTIVATED NEUTROPHILS IN LUNG CANCER (UK)

  • Title: Exploratory Study to Optically Visualise Activated Neutrophils and the Proto-oncogene, c-Met, in Lung Cancer Using DUAL Colour Fibre-based Endomicroscopy.
  • Objective: The primary objective of this study is to directly deliver a microdose of two optical imaging agents to 20 patients with suspected or confirmed lung cancer to assess whether the agents can detect c-MET expression and neutrophil activity in human lung cancer.
  • Status: Enrolment on hold awaiting IMP remanufacture

EMI-137: IMAGING OF BREAST CANCER DURING SURGERY (UK)

  • Title: A pilot study of EMI-137 fluorescence imaging to improve the accuracy of surgical excision in patients with primary breast cancer
  • Objective: The aim of this phase I/II study is to assess the feasibility of EMI-137 fluorescence imaging for intra-operative assessment of tumour margin status and lymph node metastatic status in breast cancer patients.
  • Status: Enrolment on hold awaiting IMP remanufacture

EMI-137 IN LAPAROSCOPIC COLONIC RESECTIONS (UK)

  • Title: Intraoperative imaging of colon cancer using a fluorescent peptide (EMI-137) against the c-Met receptor
  • Objective: The main objective of this Phase IIa study is to assess the ability of EMI-137 to produce visible intra-operative fluorescence of primary colon cancer and lymph node metastases will be explored and evaluated.
  • Status: Study completed
  • Results: submitted for publication (May 2021)
